Rain threatened, but we got the tournament in (unlike last year). The 3rd Annual Tiger Scramble Golf Tournament & Social, sponsored by Schluchter Investment Advisors, was held at the Wapicada Golf Course on Friday, August 12th. This event is focused on fun and participants included former students, past and present teachers/coaches, Tech supporters and community members

2010 Tech Tiger Golf Tournament:
The bags were loaded onto the carts and the golfers were ready to roll when mother nature decided to pay a visit. The round was a wash out but there were still plenty of smiles. And look on the bright side. Nobody lost a ball!

About the Tech Tiger Scramble Golf Tournament
In the spring of 2009, a group of Alumni from Tech High School approached LEAF for assistance to set up a golf tournament to provide extra funding for Tech High School activities. The goal of the golf tournament is to return some funds directly to the Tech activities department, while also building a designated fund within LEAF to support these programs. In just its first year, the golf tournament raised over $10,000 to be split between direct contributions to Tech and an endowed fund for Tech held with LEAF. Once that fund reaches the $25,000 level, it will begin to return 5% annually in support of Tech extracurricular activities. As with the Apollo Giving Calendar, LEAF stands ready to assist in any manner possible those who wish to find ways to financially support academics, activities, arts and athletics in our K-12 public schools.
