Tech Tiger Scramble Focuses on Students

May 21, 2015

With almost 100 years of history at St. Cloud Tech High School, it is not surprising that alumni, teachers, coaches and community members come out each summer to support Tech students during the Tiger Scramble Golf Tournament.  Celebrating the 7th annual fundraiser on Friday, July 31st, the Tiger Scramble,  sponsored by Schluchter Financial Advisors, welcomes 150 participants who come together to show their commitment to Tech Athletics and the importance of student involvement.  This event is held at the Wapicada Golf Club and the focus for the day is very simple: support Tech students and have fun while doing it.

The Tiger Scramble features a number of unique contests throughout the course hosted by current athletes and golfers can also enjoy a student caddie.  In addition, the St. Cloud community has been extremely supportive of this event and following the July tournament, almost $100,000 will have been raised to support Tech Activities.  Proceeds from this event are divided between current Tech needs and the newly created Tech Activities Endowment Fund.  Through the support of LEAF, we reached our first goal a year ahead of schedule and created the Tech Activities Endowment Fund.  This fund now provides additional revenue to Tech each Spring and we on our way towards our second goal of growing the Tech Endowment to $100,000 by 2020.

If you would like to be a part of this Tech tradition as a participant or sponsor, please do not hesitate to contact Paul Muller at pmuller@paulbunyan.net.  There is something for everyone at this event and please mark Friday, July 31st on your summer calendar to come out and create new memories with old friends!
